Covering power: The ability of a coating to cover a substrate and limit light penetration

Its chemical essence is the difference of refractive index of pigment and medium, the greater the difference, the stronger the covering power. And the more light the pigment absorbs (e.g. black). Nail varnish oil is the same reason, dark color than light color of the covering force is stronger. These are natural laws and scientific normal phenomena.
